- Identify reflector: Go out at night, watch IR glow on surfaces. Use phone camera to see IR spill.
- Re-angle: Tilt down 15–30° from horizontal. Use level + protractor.
- Add distance: Extension bracket (12–24") moves IR cone past near objects.
- External IR Illuminator: Mount 10–20 ft away, aimed at target zone. Camera IR OFF. Best for license plates, gates.
